It seems like forever since I have posted here. Things haven't moved on that far really, have gotten rid of Spreadshirt as that's not really what I want to be doing and well frankly it wasn't working for me. Have joined a new site called Folksy, which is a British version of Etsy. I have also branched out into amigurumi which is great fun. Still working on getting items on Ebay never thought it would be so complicated, but hopefully that may be more profitable.

Anyway better get on, I have to find out what I've done with my password book.... I put it somewhere in this muddle.

New Site

Well we know have the new site set up, fingers crossed this one will be around for a long while. Everything looks to be working ok, haven't found any problems as of yet, but well you never can tell with these things. Have been working on some lovely kiddies hoodies so they should be up on the site asap. Shall be getting the pets items and the other baby items up by the end of the week. Paypal is all up and running just need to post up the items for sale on the main site. Must admit I know freewebs aren't favoured by some people but, they are fairly easy to use. Will get it upgraded once I have the money so that there aren't any ad's running across the top banner.

anyway must get on, only recently returned from holiday so as you can imagine the house looks like a tip at the moment so really must get on with tidying up.

Logo/Banner

Were working on a new banner/logo at the moment to tie all the elements of the business in together and so we can get some business cards and advertising postcards sorted too. So then shall pop some in the shops around here and hopefully the repairs side will bring us in some work too.

I finally got my wool stash sorted and have been working on some knitted items for the Etsy shop, so they should be going in at the end of the week along with the Rat/Chinchilla hammocks that we have available.

Moving along nicely

So finally it looks like things are finally moving along the right path. Thanks to a phone call with Shirley the other day, I managed to get one of the problems that was holding me up with regards to setting up the Etsy shop. Which is great now as that is now up and at the moment has just the one item for sale, just waiting for the batteries for the digital camera charged then I can get the rest of the items that are made photographed and put into the shop. I have also added links to the header of this blog, which all work as have tested them a few times now lol, much to Robynne's dismay. Every time I checked she rolled her eyes at me and said 'it works'...... well I like to double and even triple check these things, it's just the way I am.

So now that's sorted, I can now stop stressing and just get on with what I like best the making. I think I may have just turned a corner with this now, I was beginning to think it was never going to come together. I guess I should relax and take a step back sometimes or just talk to others about things it might help.

Anyway here's to a better year now.

Computer Problems Cause Hold ups

Yes sadly the computer that I usually use has decided too have a melt down recently, which has caused no end of problems. The main one being that my lovely long list of business contacts and info is stuck in the ether. Also all the photo's and such like to add to here are gone. But, we shall persevere I just need to retake all the photo's and upload them to photobucket. Tho' now the camera seems to be having a ditzy spell too.

Things are in place for a new credit card so that eBay selling can commence. So fingers crossed, things will start picking up soon. I did have the idea to set up another couple of blogs to link to this one, with the portfolio and items for sale set out, which would then leave this one as the front page. I was kind of looked at oddly when I mentioned it to my daughter, but, I'm still thinking it's a good idea so may do it anyway if it looks too odd can just delete them so nothing lost there really. Well except possible my sanity and that's been going for a long while now.

Portfolio

As you can see to the right the portfolio is up. Obviously it will change as we add more items. Also the space is their for items that are for sale, I haven't uploaded the photo's to photobucket yet shall do that tomorrow. All items will then be available for sale. So orders can be taken by email and when I have everything in place I shall also be selling via ebay as well.

Changes

You know how sometimes things don't always go as planned, well that's how it's been round here for a while. Well that is until yesterday. Yesterday I made a plan and actually stuck to it. I finally got things sorted out in my head and have started to sort this blog out so it is the new home of our little business I shall be going onto the newer comp later so can upload some pics to photobucket and get the slide shows done of our portfolio and items currently for sale.

We also made the decision to just concentrate mainly on costumes etc for Kids and Adults, tho' I shall still do hats, scarfs & gloves. I shall also be making the play mats which I designed a while ago, have gotten all the dimensions worked out now and have got the material picked out for my sample one so I just need to find or make some decent templates for the snakes, ladders and numbers. So no biggy there then.

Anyway that's my brief catch.
